USS Yorktown

Friday was the best day of the week. It was bright and sunny just a bit windy. My mom, dad, and sister went with Aiden and I to the USS Yorktown. It was Awesome! Aiden loved the big ship. He went in the flight simulator with my sister and dad and loved it! He also did a great job climbing up and down the steep stairs. He really enjoyed turning knobs and pushing buttons. I think it the boat was active he might have been able to start it up. We had amazing views from the flight deck, but it was REALLY WINDY up there. We also got to walk through a submarine and Aiden said that was his favorite part. It was very cool to see these ships up close and personal. (Check out the chocolate ship cookie recipe, it is pretty amazing!)

Children's Musuem

My mom and sister went with Aiden and I to the Charleston Children's Museum. After living in Indiana we realized how spoiled we are with our Children's Museum, but Aiden still had a great time. He loved the water area and shopping in the market. He would even make the "beep" sound as he scanned the items for me at checkout.

Beach Time in the Rain

Aiden wanted to go to the beach even though it was raining and chilly. So my sister and I took him over to play. He of course wore a jacket and pants, but we rolled them up and he enjoyed playing in the water. We even snapped a few shots just because we thought it was funny that we were carrying umbrellas to the beach! A little rain never hurt anyone! :)

Hanging out at the House

We had to spend some time at the house with all the rain. While we were there Aiden enjoyed playing Super Mario Brothers on the DS. He even convinced Grandpa to play with him using another DS at the house. We did try to get out a much as possible in order to keep him from playing the DS all day!

South Carolina Aquarium

My mom, dad, and sister went with Aiden and I to the South Carolina Aquarium. It was a pretty cool aquarium and the highlight was the white crocodile. He was huge and did not look real until we saw him move. Aiden also had the chance to hold a starfish. We enjoyed seeing all the animals and fish. It was a great way to spend a rainy afternoon!

Spring Break

Aiden and I went to the Isle of Palms in South Carolina with my family. We stayed in a house across the street from the beach. Unfortunately the weather was not great. We had a lot of rain and chilly temperatures. Luckily that did not ruin our week. We still went to the beach bundled up and saw some of the great sites of Charleston. These pictures were taken on our first day there. It was probably the warmest day at the beach and Aiden was able to be in shorts and a t-shirt. He loved the waves and playing in the water.

Basketball

Aiden wanted to play basketball so we signed him up to play in a YMCA league. These pictures are of his first practice. The teams all practice for for the first 3 weeks and then we will begin games. He loved shooting and he listened to his coach very well.
