Welcome Alexander Michael Arickx
Alexander decided he was ready to enter this world about four weeks early. Labor started for me when I got up on Sunday morning, even though I tried really hard to deny this since I was scheduled for a c-section on July 28. After trying hard to deny my contractions, my water broke and I knew I had to accept the fact that we were going to have a baby sooner rather then later. Jeremy and I arrived at the hospital around 2:45 pm and Alexander joined us at 4:30 pm. He weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces and was 20 inches long. The nurses and doctors were all very surprised by his weight since he was early, but we all decided that he was done! Aiden was very excited to meet his new baby brother!

Aiden's Birthday Party
Since I was nine months pregnant we decided to have Aiden's party at the park. We reserved a shelter by the Splash Pad so the kids, and a few adults, could play in the water. Aiden wanted a Mario theme and of course I had to make sure he had a very cool cake. We had a great day with our friends and family!

Aiden's 4th Birthday
Aiden woke up on his birthday to find a morning present. I also made him "birthday" waffles. After Jeremy got home from work we let Aiden open his presents from us. He was very excited about the marble run and he enjoyed rolling the marbles down the track after Jeremy finished each one! As always he had a little cake on his birthday! It is just so hard to believe he is 4!

4th of July
We celebrated the 4th of July at home. We had my parents and sister over for dinner and then had a little fireworks show in the backyard. We then played with some sparklers in the front yard while we watched our "neighborhood show". The people in our neighborhood spend a lot of money on fireworks! It is pretty cool! Aiden enjoyed the show and even created his own "fireworks" dance! It was really funny so I only got a couple of pictures, I was just laughing too hard.
